Mirror and Upside Down Text Generator
This generator reverses your character order and swaps each letter for its rotated lookalike, so the result reads as if it were turned 180 degrees.

Mirror
There is no real flip in Unicode — the effect relies on characters that happen to resemble upside-down letters, drawn from Latin extended, IPA and even Cyrillic blocks. Punctuation gets swapped too, so an exclamation mark becomes an inverted one and brackets change direction. A few letters are symmetrical and simply stay as they are.
Where people use it
- Playful bios that make people tilt their phone
- Puzzle and riddle posts
- Novelty usernames
- Comment replies with a visual punchline
Frequently asked questions
- Is the text actually rotated?
- No. It is a set of substitute characters that look rotated, which is why it survives copy and paste.
- Why do some characters look wrong?
- Not every letter has a convincing upside-down twin, so a few are approximations and symmetrical ones stay unchanged.
- Can I flip a whole paragraph?
- You can, but the reading order reverses too, so long text becomes very hard to parse.
