Zalgo / Glitch
The effect exploits Unicode's combining diacritical marks, which are designed to stack without limit on a base character. It spread from a 2004 web comic into forums and chat as shorthand for something corrupted or possessed. Heavy zalgo overflows its line box in most apps and some platforms strip or truncate it, so start low and increase only if the target app cooperates.
